Car hydroplanes, rolls several times, driver sent to hospital

ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. -- The Elkhart County Sheriff's Office reports deputies responded to the area of C.R. 30 east of C.R. 9 on Tuesday around 3:48 p.m.

The report states a 2025 Toyota Camry, driven by a 21-year-old Elkhart man, was traveling west on C.R. 30, when it hit a large buildup of water on the roadway.

The car then began hydroplaning before going off road into a ditch and rolling several times before coming to a stop.

The driver was taken to Elkhart General Hospital for non-life-threatening neck injuries.
