Car struck by bullet while on Old Cr 17

A driver contact the Elkhart County Sheriff's Department Wednesday after she discovered a bullet hole in her vehicle.
The 44-year-old driver told deputies on Wednesday at about 5:15 p.m. she was driving southbound on Old CR 17 near Goldfinch Drive when she heard a loud noise on the outside of her vehicle.
When she checked her car, she found a hole in the passenger side door consistent with a bullet hole.
Deputies checked the area but said they could not locate anyone shooting or other possible causes of the damage.
