Carolers lift spirits at Memorial Hospital

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The patients at Memorial Hospital got a special surprise Monday to lift their Christmas spirits.

The LaVille Junior-Senior High School Madrigals made a stop at the hospital Monday morning.

The carolers say they love spreading Christmas cheer.

"It's actually pretty fun. Just to see the joy on people's faces and being able to spread the joy, it's just really uplifting to know that just because we're here people are feeling better," said Tana Newkirk, LaVille High School Madrigal Society.

The singers said they have made over ten stops so far, and look forward to heading to a nursing home in Walkerton next.
