SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- More than 65,000 costumes and accessories will soon be on the move!
The Casaday Costume Collection belongs to the South Bend School Corporation. Some items date back to the 1870s!
For years, a committee has been working hard to preserve the costumes.
"It's the armor you wear when you are on stage, and it makes the magic happen. Without a costume, plays don't happen,” said Deborah Mayers, Assistant Curator.
This isn't the first time the massive collection has moved. The costumes were originally kept at the old administration building, before moving to Eggleston. Now, the entire collection is heading to the old Marquette School.
