UNION, Mich.— One person is dead after a crash early Tuesday morning in Cass County.
The sheriff's department says 48-year-old Daniel Staley of Elkhart lost control of his car near Mason Street and Union Road.
Deputies say the icy road may have been a factor in the crash.
They say his car rolled over and he was ejected.
Staley was pronounced dead at the scene.
Deputies say he was not wearing a seat belt.
The crash remains under investigation, and alcohol is not believed to be a factor.
