Celebrating pets and pet lovers

BRISTOL, Ind. -- The Elkhart County Humane Society celebrated pet lovers everywhere in Bristol Saturday morning!
ABC 57's own Keitha Nelson and her dog, Chico, hosted the event for people and their furry friends.
There was a parade, contests and much more to honor the thousands of animals that are sent to shelters every year!
And for folks that didn't have a pet to bring to Pet Fest, it was not a problem!
The Humane Society of Elkhart County actually had animals available for adoption.
They even had a two for one special, so if you adopted one animal, you could adopt a second companion for free!
