Chicago Bears players help out residents affected by tornado

WASHINGTON, Ill. --- Residents of Washington, Illinois are thankful for the extra help in their tornado cleanup efforts.

About 100 members from the Bears organization were there including all of the team's rookies.


"I feel like anytime you have a chance to give back to the community, because we're in a blessed situation right now.  So any time you have a chance to give back it's always an honor and always a privilege to help people out," Chicago Bears defensive tackle Ego Ferguson Jr. said.


Last November, six people died in Illinois because of tornadoes.


In Washington, Illinois more than 100 were injured and hundreds of homes were destroyed.
