Chicago Bears vs Buffalo Bills
CHICAGO, Ill. --- The Chicago Bears opened their season Sunday at Soldier Field as they faced off against the Buffalo Bills.
The Bears struck first with a 12 yard Jay Cutler touchdown pass to tight end Martellus Bennett to go up 7-0.
However, thanks to turnovers by the Bears, The Bills came storming right back and had a 10 point lead going into the half.
After Bills' quarterback EJ Manuel threw an interception in the third quarter, the Bears were able to come back with a nice touchdown pass to receiver Brandon Marshall and tie this one up at 17-17.
Cutler then threw another interception which would lead to a Bills field goal, giving Buffalo a 20-17 lead.
With just seconds left in the game, Bears kicker Robbie Gould split the uprights to tie this game up and send it to overtime.
After poor defense and sloppy tacking on Chicago's part, Buffalo was able to drive the field and kick the game winning 27 yard field goal.
Buffalo wins this one, defeating the Bears 23-20 in overtime.
The Bears will travel to San Francisco next Sunday to battle the 49ers at 7:30pm.
