Chicago police arrest 21 in multi-million dollar car theft ring

CHICAGO -- It was a scene made for the movies. High-end vehicles were stolen in large numbers. We're talking $4 million worth of more than 200 cars.

Police said it really happened inside Chicago. On Monday, investigators announced that they cracked the ring.

They said it targeted leased BMWs, Land Rovers, and Cadillacs.

Investigators said the ring changed vehicle identification numbers to get titles before selling the cars.

Some vehicles worth $50,000 were sold for just $10,000.

Police arrested 21 people for their roles in the ring.
