Child support warrant sweep results in 17 arrests

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. – Four agencies had a hand in a county-wide child support sweep that resulted in 17 arrests and nearly $5,700 in bond monies Wednesday.

According to the St. Joseph County Prosecutor’s Office, the sweep that lasted into Thursday, targeted those who failed to appear for court or failed to follow through on child support payments.

Bench warrants were issued for those individuals.

Officials say the collected bond monies will go directly to the custodial parents.
