Cold and snowy, again
SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Chippewa Bowl in South Bend is looking to give customers and families a new and improved bowling experience, and is now in the middle of a major upgrade.
Construction began approximately 10 days ago with 22 new lanes, new flooring and a state-of-the-art scoring system all being installed in the upgrade process.
Chippewa Bowl’s owner, Tom Funk, believes that the upgrade is needed to help make the alley a nicer place for customers to spend time.
“We decided to upgrade because it's been a long time since Chippewa was upgraded and we want to get a better experience for the guests that come in. So, with the new scoring and new flooring, there'll be a nicer, cleaner experience,” said Funk.
35 lanes currently remain open, with the hope of offering 70 full-service lanes by July 31.
