Christmas for a Hero, local business donates furnace to veteran

Habitat for Humanity has partnered with Henry Smith Plumbing, Heating and Cooling this winter to help a local veteran in need.

Monday, the team donated a furnace and installation to a Navy veteran and homeowner in Mishawaka.

Thomas Andres is the fourth veteran helped through the ‘Christmas for a Hero’ program.

“Our veterans you know we get to reap the rewards of their efforts and sacrifices and we feel as an organization it's something we can get behind and our team is more than willing to support that,” says Brad Smith, president and owner of Henry Smith Plumbing, Heating and Cooling

Habitat for Humanity of St. Joseph County also plans to perform more home repairs for veteran homeowners in the community.
