The city of Elkhart has announced the Christmas tree disposal options for residents.

January 4 - January 15, residents within the city of Elkhart can place their tree curbside for pickup on their regular trash day.

Residents have the option to drop off Christmas trees at the following locations:

• West Side Middle School parking lot on Nappanee Street
• North Side Middle School parking lot near the track on Bristol Street
• Riverview Softball diamond parking lot on Riverview Avenue behind the school
• Pierre Moran Pool parking lot located behind Pierre Moran School on Lusher Avenue

Residents are asked to remove all ornaments, stands, lights, wrappings, and foreign objects from the trees.

Barrels are provided at the drop off locations for disposal of any debris.
