City Council pushes back Chase Tower decisions

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The City of South Bend is trying to decide what to do about its tallest building.

Monday night, the city council voted to push back any decision on funding the building's rehab.

As a result, the developer who had been looking to buy the tower stormed out of the meeting.

The developer had been hoping the city would approve $6 million of repairs.

For now, no decision will be made until the end of February.
