ELKHART, Ind. -- The city of Elkhart has a new chief in charge.
Newly instated Police Chief Dan Milanese and his Assistant Chief, Andrew Whitmyer, were both sworn in during a Board of Public Safety meeting on Monday by Elkhart Mayor Rod Roberson.
Milanese will replace former chief Kris Seymore, who is retiring after 25 years on the force.
Seymore had spent the past two-and-half years in command prior to his retirement.
