GOSHEN, Ind.—The City of Goshen on Friday announced that it is closing all splash pads and indoor rental facilities in an effort to mitigate the spread of COVID-19.

Walnut Park and Rieth Park splash pads will be closed starting Friday, July 10 at 8 p.m.

The new Rotary Splash Pad located at Pringle Park will not open. It will remain closed until further notice.

Goshen’s indoor rental facilities, including Schrock Pavilion in Shanklin Park, Abshire Cabin in Abshire Park, the Powerhouse and Rieth Interpretive Center, will be closed for gatherings starting Friday.

Outdoor and open-air pavilions will remain open but the city “strongly recommends” gatherings under 50 people.

The city did not say when it plans to reopen the facilities.
