City of Goshen to celebrate national bicycle month

GOSHEN, Ind. - The City of Goshen will be celebrating national bicycle month by hosting several events throughout the month of May. 

The events begin at City Hall on May 5, where the Environmental Resilience Department will host an E-Bike Try-Athlon from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event aims to highlight sustainable transportation accessible to city employees. 

The Mayor’s bike ride will follow at City Hall at 4:30 p.m. 

First Fridays will also be participating in the action with the Green Day Bike Valet beginning at 5 p.m. Participants will be able to park their bike in a valet spot while they enjoy activities throughout the evening. 

On May 21, the city will host a women-inspired bike ride said to feature a living history performance of historical women in Goshen’s history. The ride will take place from 2 p.m. to 3:15 p.m. and begins at Goshen Brewing Company.
