City of Knox's "Dumpster Days" announced for end of the month

KNOX, Ind. -- The City of Knox has announced the dates of its Spring Clean-Up “Dumpster Days” to be on Saturday, April 30 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, May 1 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

This effort allows Knox residents to dispose of any large items that cannot normally be picked up by waste management.

Dumpster Days will be held in Wythogan Park at the Wastewater Treatment Plant.

Residents are required to bring a valid ID and up-to-date Knox utility bill in order to utilize this service.

The City will not be accepting certain items including:

  • Regular trash
  • Grass clippings/yard waste
  • Tires
  • Electronics
  • Refrigerators
  • Paint
  • Household hazardous waste
  • Medical waste
