ELKHART, Ind. – Elkhart Mayor Tim Neese visited the grand opening of the newest Lighthouse Autism Center on Wednesday. Mayor Neese was there to tour the facility.
Leila Allen, who is the Chief Clinical Officer at Lighthouse Autism Center, says that their ultimate goal is to provide special services for people with autism.
“They have a trained behavior technician with them every single day, all day,” Allen said. “Because they have such close contact with our team and constant communication, you can see things day to day. You see the little changes, and they mean so much to the families, and our staff recognizes them too.”
The new center will feature various therapy rooms, a classroom simulation experience and a playroom.
The services offered by the Center cater to families in the local area.
This is the seventh facility to be opened and operated by Lighthouse Autism Center.
