City working overtime to clean drains before the rain

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- City workers are working overtime to clear the leaves out of drains.

Rain and snow are on the way, and that can cause flooding problems if the leaves are plugging up the sewers.

The city says you can help prevent problems around your home too.

To keep water from colelcting, simply grab a rake or shovel and clear of the top of the drain.
