Clay fire investigating Granger house fire

ST.JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. – Clay Fire was dispatched to the 16000 block of Rockridge Lane around 12 a.m. Saturday.

Crews arrived on the scene to find heavy smoke in the basement of a two-story home.

Crews were able to locate the fire in the basement, which had extinguished itself prior to the crew’s arrival.

Crews remained on the scene to check for any hot spots and any extensions.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by the Community Risk Reduction Division.

The homeowners were not home at the time of the fire and no injuries were reported.
