Clay fire station wants to 'Keep the Wreath Red'

SOUTH  BEND, Ind. -- The Clay Fire Department is asking you to "Keep the Wreath Red" this holiday season.

Here's how it works. You can see the wreath out front of the fire station which is illuminated with red bulbs.

In the event of a fire, the firefighters will replace one of the red bulbs with a white one and the goal is to keep all the bulbs on the wreath red.

So far Clay Fire has changed two bulbs to white since the program started on Thanksgiving Day.

The wreath will stay up through New Years Day.
