Closure on Russell Avenue beginning Wednesday

MISHAWAKA, Ind. -- The City of Mishawaka announced that a stretch of Russell Avenue will be closed beginning on Wednesday at 7 a.m.

Russell Avenue, between Milburn Boulevard and Lincolnway East, will be closed for tree removal, installation of utilities and reconstruction of the pavement and sidewalks in the area.

East and West traffic will remain open at the intersection of Russell Avenue and Sixth Street during the scheduled closure.

Eastbound traffic will be limited to one lane near the intersection of Russell Avenue and Lincolnway East.

Depending on weather in this area, Russell Avenue is estimated to reopen on August 28.

Motorists should follow posted signage with caution and be vigilant of construction crews while driving in this area.
