Storm threat today holds relatively low severe risk
Happy New Year! Lake effect snow showers and a wintry mix will be possible throughout the morning and early afternoon, especially in NW Michiana. Temps will hold around freezing and slowly fall today, but Wednesday starts a gradual warm-up towards the weekend into the low 40s. After today and tomorrow, precip chances are zero until early next week, as a new low brings mostly rain Monday with a rain/snow mix possible overnight.
Today: Cloudy with light lake effect snow showers and a wintry mix. Temperatures falling from 33.
Tonight: Mostly cloudy with a chance of a few L.E. snow showers. Low of 24.
Wednesday: Mostly cloudy with a slight chance of snow. High of 34.
Thursday: Mostly sunny. Highs in the mid 30s.
