Coach Kelly takes a hands-on approach with his quarterbacks

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Are you ready for some football?

Fighting Irish football players took the field for the first time in months this weekend and Coach Brian Kelly worked specifically with the quarterbacks.

He was on the field, doing drills, getting in their faces and making sure they could take the pressure.

During his press conference, he touched on what he was looking for.

"I was committed to being a better head coach in the sense that I needed to spend more time with my players. I don't think it's anything on their part, I think it's probably on my part being more accessible and being around the guys a lot more," said Coach Kelly.

The first home game for the football team is Sept. 8.
