ELKHART COUNTY, Ind.- Northwood boys' basketball coach Aaron Wolfe was named Coach of the Year for District 1 and received the Bob King Award following an announcement on Tuesday.

Wolfe was among two other winners across the state.

Coach Don Carlisle from Ben Davis received the award for District 2 and Coach J.B. Neill from Bloomfield received the award for District 3.

The Indiana Basketball Coaches Association (IBCA) presents the Bob King Coach of the Year Award to one coach out of each district based upon IHSAA district boundaries.

On top of winning the Class 3A state championship, Wolfe led the Panthers to win the Northern Lakes Conference, the Northwood Sectional, the South Bend Washington Regional and the Elkhart Semi-State.

Wolfe received this award once before in 2014.

In 2016, Wolfe was named an Indiana All-Star assistant coach.

Wolfe served as an IBCA district representative from 2015 to 2018.
