Community and family prepare for vigil

Elkhart, IN. - Neighbors walked past a make shift memorial for the house fire victims this morning in Elkhart.

Twenty-four hours after a fire ripped through a home on the 1100 block of Grant Street killing three family members, balloons and candles now lay on the sidewalk right outside the home.

Killed in the fire were Jose Guadalupe and his two sons, Ricardo and Aldolfo Aguilar. Elkhart Police say their investigation is still in the early stages but they do believe that the house fire is connected in some way to two stabbings that happened in Elkhart Monday morning.

Still a lot of unanswered questions but for now family and community members are grieving for the losses. There will be a vigil for the victims Tuesday night outside of the home. It is set for 9:30 tonight.
