Community leaders issued a community call to action to end violence in South Bend.
The event was held at the Charles Martin Youth Center on Lincolnway West.
Isaac Hunt, with Group Violence Intervention, says the Eric Logan shooting has ignited emotions in the community.
“We was on pace to have a better year this year with shootings and murders in the city, until after the Eric Logan shooting. It’s a lot of tension in our community and we have to learn how to agree to disagree but we also need to hold people accountable for their actions," Hunt said.
Community leaders are asking everyone to be part of the solution.
"That you join us and that you come and ask that you be part of the solution and not just sit at home and fuss about what’s going on but come get involved. Everybody is equal. No idea is a bad idea," said Joe Taylor of the Indiana African American Democrat Caucus.
