Community rallies to help family of Kristyana Jackson

ELKHART, Ind. -- Saturday, a family buried their 7-year-old daughter after she was shot during a home invasion.

Sunday, the community is rallying to help that family in their troubled time.

There was a car wash held for Kristyana Jackson's family to help raise money for all their expenses held at Lucky's Auto in Elkhart.

People were encouraged to come support the family and donate even if their cars were not that dirty!

"It feels really good. The community has pulled together, had a really huge response.  They made a huge turnout, supplied food.  Everything from time to wash mits, soap, everything," said Pat Morland.

Kristyana was shot and killed over a week ago in her Elkhart home.
