Community reacts to Thursday's shooting on Western Avenue in South Bend

SOUTH BEND, Ind. - ABC57's Jackie Bauer spoke with a local community leader and a concerned citizen after South Bend Police were called to the 4800 block of West Western Avenue for a reported shooting on Thursday, around 6 p.m.
Officers located one victim, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
The victim was transported to the hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
As officers were investigating, Memorial Hospital informed police, a second victim walked into the Emergency Room with apparent gunshot wounds.
The second victim’s injuries are also not believed to be life-threatening.
The South Bend Police Department’s Violent Crimes Unit has taken over the investigation.
