Concord High School set to host charity event

Christmas may be over but the season of giving continues on Saturday with a charity event benefiting a couple of local schools.

The second annual Teaming Up for Kids 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament kicks off at 9 Saturday morning at Concord High School.

Proceeds for this event will benefit student scholarships at Concord and Elkhart Community Schools.

Last year, $1000 in scholarships was awarded and today Concord High School is expecting more of the same.

In 2014, 300 people attended and an even larger crowd is expected Saturday morning.

Local law enforcement, fire departments and first responders will also attend the event and will be recognized for their work in the community.
