Third public meeting held on Portage Manor ecological study
SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Concours d'Elegance at Copshaholm is set to have more than 80 cars on display for public viewing on Saturday.
The show will be spread throughout the Studebaker National Museum's campus and begins at 10 a.m.
A total of 10 different classes of cars will be showcased; from every generation of The Corvette through the past 70 years, Studebaker's Finest and the Centennial Club, which features vehicles from pre-1923.
Several guest speakers will also be at the event detailing the history behind some of the show's most unique vehicles.
Some of those one-of-a-kind cars include Amelia Earhart's 1937 Cord, Charlie Chaplin's 1936 Packard and the #9 Studebaker Avanti, which was raced at the Bonneville Salt Flats by "The Fastest Woman on Wheels" in 1963.
Organizers say the show should provide an educational experience for those unfamiliar with classic rides.
The festivities also include food trucks, kids' activities and Bonnie Doon Ice Cream.
