Condition update on 2-year-old with self-inflicted gunshot wound

The St. Joseph County Prosecutor's Office has given us an update on the investigation into the shooting that injured a 2-year-old over the weekend.

The 2-year-old is still in Memorial Hospital in South Bend but is stable, according to the prosecutor's office.

The prosecutor's office says the Special Victims Unit is investigating and has conducted several interviews in the case. They have spoken with the three adults who were in the home.

As of Monday at noon, no arrests have been made and no charges have been filed.

The shooting happened Saturday around 12:30 a.m. at a home off Edison Road in South Bend.
