Construction zones affect game day traffic

SOUTH BEND, Ind. — Those driving to Saturday's Notre Dame opener against Notre Dame might want to take note of some traffic alerts around the stadium.
Construction is underway on South Bend Avenue near campus. And some roads are closed.
INDOT gave ABC57 a map of the areas affected.
The closed areas are highlighted in red.
There's also a new traffic signal at Douglas Road.
The best advice from police is to turn off your GPS. And to watch officers directing traffic and plan your route before the game.
