Consumers Energy offering storm assistance to St. Joseph County communities

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Mich. – Consumers Energy is helping St. Joseph County residents still recovering from last week’s storms by distributing free water and ice to those in need on Monday evening, August 16, at the St. Joseph County Fairgrounds.

Consumers Energy will be at the Fairgrounds, located at 316 Charlotte St. in Centreville, from 5 – 8 p.m.

The company is Michigan’s largest energy provider. Its crews are still working to restore power to communities in Michigan.

More than 370,000 Michigan homes and businesses were affected by two days of storms across the state, Consumers Energy said.
