Cook Nuclear Plant testing begins Monday

BRIDGMAN, Mich. --- Over the next two weeks, beginning Monday, residents will hear warning sirens at Cook Nuclear Plant as a part of their testing.

This test will involve sounding each siren individually three to four times for about 30 seconds.

This allows the plant to get readings and make adjustments while ensuring proper coverage and reliability.

If there was an actual event, the sirens would sound for a full three minutes.
