Cook Nuclear Power Plant takes precautions due to high winds

BRIDGMAN, Mich. -- The Cook Nuclear Power Plant in Bridgman also took precautions on Friday due to the high winds!

Officials told ABC 57 News that they are keeping an eye on the plant's filtration system.

Wind stirs up debris in the lake water, which the plant uses to cool the reactor.

They are also monitoring the shoreline very closely to make sure no loose trash flies into the equipment.
