Cooking causes fire in South Bend apartment

Firefighters responded to an apartment fire in the 2500 block of Pleasant Street in South Bend Saturday.
The call came in by a passerby just before 9:00 p.m.
A resident of the building was cooking and accidentally started the fire.
Fire officials reported that no structural damage was done to the building but the fridge did have damage to it.
There were no injuries.
