Warm and sunny stretch with a few showers possible this weekend
The cooldown begins today, bottoming out on Thursday. Cloudy for most of today, slight chances some areas could see flurries tonight, though more of Michiana is going to see snow Wednesday afternoon. An arctic front sweeps through the area, bringing those afternoon snow chances, as well as a wind shift that is going to kick the lake effect machine into gear, bringing LES to our southwest Michigan counties, with around an inch to fall in the Indiana counties next to the border. The LES continues into Thursday, with breezy conditions causing the wind chill to likely fall below zero, especially in the morning hours. More mild conditions return this weekend, with rain chances Friday overnight into Saturday.
Today: Colder than yesterday, cloudy. High 40.
Tonight: Slight chance for flurries. Low 26.
Wednesday: Cloudy morning, light snow in the afternoon. High 30.
Thursday: Frigid, breezy. Morning LES. High 18.
