It's the start of fall and the start of sweater weather. Temperatures this afternoon climb into the mid 60s (about 10 degrees below normal for this time of year).
It's mostly dry but breezy, with some wind gusts up to 30 mph. Waves on Lake Michigan will be big again today since it is a wind out of the north. It will probably feel too cold for a swim, but it's also probably best to avoid walking along the pier today.
A few lake effect showers or sprinkles are possible today, but most people won't need any rain gear.
It's still a little breezy tonight with clearing skies, so temperatures fall into the lower 40s. Areas of some patchy frost could be possible. Make sure you have a nice warm jacket or even your coat ready to go out the door tomorrow morning.
Friday is cool but quiet again with mostly sunny skies.
There is a slight chance for a shower Friday night, then most of Saturday looks dry.
There is a chance for some scattered rain showers, possibly a thunderstorm, Sunday afternoon into the evening.
Next week is looking mostly dry with high temperatures still feeling fall-like in the 60s.
Thursday: Partly cloudy, breezy. High 64.
Tonight: Mostly clear, breezy. Low 42.
Friday: Mostly sunny. High 64.
Saturday: Partly cloudy. High 72.
Sunday: Partly cloudy. Scattered showers. High 68.
