Corewell Health Foundation awards $226,016 in health, wellness grants across Southwest Michigan

ST. JOSEPH, Mich.- Corewell Health Foundation Southwest Michigan awarded $224,016 in grants to local non-profits across Southwest Michigan in 2022. 

Formerly Spectrum Health Lakeland Foundation, Corewell Health Foundation Southwest Michigan aims to support non-profit organizations promoting health and wellness within their communities.

The Community Wellness Endowment supports both new and existing programs, as well as capital needs within non-profit organizations.

Recipients of the 2022 grant awards include the following organizations:

  • Berrien County Blanket Brigade
  • Boys & Girls Club of Southwest Michigan
  • Benton Harbor Community Development Corporation
  • Michiana Family Center
  • Friends of New Troy
  • Present Pillars
  • Senior Services of Van Buren County
  • Strong Women of Faith Breast Cancer Support Group
  • The Salvation Army, Niles
  • WeECHO Youth Services Inc

Soroya Pierre-VanArtsen, President of Corewell Health Foundation Southwest Michigan, explained, "This unique grant program allows up the opportunity to give back to area non-profits and the people they serve. It also helps us advance our mission to improve health, instill humility, and inspire hope within our community."

Applications for the next grant period are due by April 4, 2023.
