ST. JOSEPH, Mich. - Corewell Health South, formerly Spectrum Health Lakeland, will host a speaker series event focused on the connection between housing and health on October 27 at the Lake Michigan College Mendel Center.
The free event, "Health, Housing and Healing" will be held online and in person from 2 to 4:30 p.m.
Featured speakers will focus on the understanding that people with stable housing are more likely to live longer, have healthier behaviors, and have better overall health.
Natalie Moore, a journalist and author of "The South Side: A Portrait of Chicago and American Segregation" will deliver the keynote presentation.
After the keynote presentation, a panel featuring local and regional housing experts will discuss solutions to housing insecurity.
