Councilman fined $1 for traffic stop

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- South Bend Common Councilman Henry Davis Junior and his dad will have to pay a one dollar fine plus court costs for a controversial traffic stop.
In October police pulled both men over and arrested the elder Davis for reckless driving.
On Monday they both took a plea deal admitting they failed to yield.
"We had some time to sit down and talk about it with our attorney so obviously this is the best out of all the possible charges that were out there so we took this one and we are walking with it," said Henry Davis Junior.
In addition to the one dollar fine, they have to pay $117 in court fees.
