SOUTH BEND, Ind. - Councilman Henry Davis Jr., WUSB Radio, and Rose Douglas held a press conference Monday to address the fact that Douglas's daughter, 14-year-old Doris Douglas, has been missing since December 2.
Douglas said her daughter attends John Adams High School and that on December 2, Doris called her after school saying she missed the bus.
Douglas hasn't heard from her daughter since, she said.
She claims Doris was seen getting in an unknown truck.
The mother said it's not like Doris to run away or not contact her.
WUSB Radio and local pastors plan to offer a $1,000 reward for anyone that has information on where Doris is.
The South Bend Police Department is classifying Doris's case as a runaway because there is no indication of criminal nature.
Police are working with the John Adams High School resource officer.
The case is still under investigation.
Doris is described as 5 feet 6 inches tall, around 180 pounds, and wears glasses.
