Countdown to Michigan Notre Dame match

ANN ARBOR - The first ever night game played in Michigan Stadium will kick off just after 8 p.m. Satdurday. On Friday players, coaches, and fans have  a countdown for the next 24 hours on their mind.

Notre Dame Head Coach Brian Kelly said it can be big task to keep your team focused through the day.

Kelly said it’s all about keeping a balance between team meetings, down time, and keeping your players active.

The Irish hope to rebound from a 23-30 loss to South Florida.

Kelly himself caught some heat about how he acted on the sidelines of last week’s game. He said he just has to realize how that can affect others.

“I’ve got to do a better job of managing my emotions on the sidelines. So I don’t become a side story. That’s the last thing that we want. So some of its warranted, some of its overblown, but at the end of the day you’ve got to win games,” said Kelly.
