County Commissioners remove McBride, appoint new interim Director of DuComb Center
ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. -- According to a release sent out Friday afternoon, the St. Joseph County Commissioners have removed Sharon McBride as the Director of the DuComb Center and have appointed Julie Lawson as the Interim Director of the DuComb Center, effective immediately.
"This decision comes on the heel of a comprehensive internal investigation at DuComb Center aimed at ensuring the continued delivery of the highest quality services to our community and the individuals served by the center," the board of commissioners said in a joint statement. "Julie Lawson brings a wealth of experience and dedication to this role, having served in various capacities within the corrections sector for over 30 years and has served as the DuComb Center program manager for the past two years. Her commitment to the well-being and advancement of our community aligns perfectly with the mission of the DuComb Center. The Commissioners have full confidence in Julie’s ability to lead the center during this transitional period."
