MARION COUNTY, Ind. -- A Marion County Sheriff's deputy was killed in a motorcycle crash Sunday evening.
Indiana State Police say Eric Stofer, 35, was on a borrowed motorcycle when he hit a pothole and lost control.
He flipped over the bike and died on impact.
Wednesday public works crews were out on that road patching potholes.
"The city has been doing a pretty good job of getting to them as soon as they can, but they're not super human," said Marion County Sheriff John Layton.
An autopsy will determine cause of death.
Stofer was not wearing a helmet.
