MICHIGAN CITY, Ind. -- A husband and wife are in critical condition after being rescued from Lake Michigan on Sunday.
The couple, who were identified as visitors from the Chicago area, were at Washington Park Beach in Michigan City when they had to be pulled from the water after struggling with the current and eventually falling below the surface.
Indiana Conservation officers are investigating what led up to the incident.
