Parents welcome first baby of the year in Niles

NILES, Mich. – Parents Ciara Lamb and James Helton of Union are proud parents as they welcomed their daughter and first baby of the year born at Lakeland Hospital.
At 4:46 a.m. Monday, Lillian Helton was born, weighing eight pounds, eight ounces at 21 inches long.
According to the hospital, the Lakeland Auxiliary gifted the family with a gift basket valued at $100 as part of an annual tradition.
