Crash leaves one injured in Elkhart County

ELKHART, Ind. -- On Aug. 29 at 6:04 p.m. Elkhart County deputies responded to a car crash at the intersection of C.R. 20 and C.R. 35.

Once arriving on scene, they found a 2015 black Cadillac SRX being driven by a 16-year-old, who allegedly failed to yield the right of way to oncoming traffic.

This caused a 2019 Lexus RX3 driven by 57-year-old Mariane Gingerich to crash into the Cadillac.

Gingerich was transported to Goshen Hospital for a contusion to the right shin and complaint of pain.

The 16-year-old sustained no injuries.
